We are Rigaer94, a self-organised house in Berlin. The house is one of many that was
squatted in the 90s. Since then, it has been a space that has resisted pacification.
Our house is a living archive of over 30 years of movement history and it keeps building
itself. For years, many people have shaped the house collectively. Here, we practice living
collectively, experimenting with ideas, learning through discussion and praxis, and taking
steps toward a shared struggle.
We need houses like Rigaer94. Spaces where ideas turn into practice and colourful
constructions, where struggles materialise, where we share care, bonfires, and meals,
where new analyses and hopeful plans grow, where imagination finds its way back to us,
free from the social control that tries to capture it. Here we learn about and shape
strategies against the state and the bosses, tactics for our side, which we hope become
contagious and travel far.
Our house is resistant. The collective, the community around it, and the movement have
fought back the gentrifiers, the bosses, the cops, any attempt of eviction. For us, the house
manifests an unbreakable will for a liberated society, defiance against the status quo of our
city being reserved for the rich.
We see a whole machinery at work: state institutions, political parties, cops, the press, and
neoliberal bosses, all trying to make Rigaer94 disappear. Their dream of evicting us has
failed again and again. Now, however, we are witnessing renewed activity from the alleged
owner and the cops to push an eviction forward. None of their attacks will remain
unanswered.
We call for the defense of the house with all necessary means. A crucial part of this is
social self-defense. To us this means building relationships with people in our neighborhood
and in our movements, people who feel connected to this space, who want to shape it with
us, who want fight for it and the ideas that come to life within it. This house lives not (only)
from the people living here but from the surrounding community and everyone who stands
in solidarity with it. We will not negotiate our ideas or anything else with those in power. We
will not remain on the defensive. No real estate shark should feel safe anywhere. And when
the time comes we will defend ourselves by any means necessary. Our tactics are varied
and full of surprises. This house belongs not only to those who live in it, but to all the
people with whom we are fighting for the liberation for all!
For this we believe that international solidarity is crucial – to hold against isolation, fear, and
fragmentation, to grow in the cracks and widen them, like thistles finding their way through
broken streets.

Wir sind Rigaer94, ein selbstorganisiertes Haus in Berlin. Das Haus ist eines von vielen, die in den 90er Jahren besetzt wurden. Seitdem ist es ein Ort, der sich der Befriedigung widersetzt hat. Unser Haus ist ein lebendiges Archiv von über 30 Jahren Bewegungsgeschichte und entwickelt sich ständig weiter. Seit Jahren gestalten viele Menschen das Haus gemeinsam. Hier üben wir uns im gemeinsamen Leben, experimentieren mit Ideen, lernen durch Diskussion und Praxis und machen Schritte in Richtung eines gemeinsamen Kampfes.
Wir brauchen Häuser wie Rigaer94. Räume, in denen Ideen in Praxis und bunte Konstruktionen umgesetzt werden, in denen Kämpfe Gestalt annehmen, in denen wir Fürsorge, Lagerfeuer und Mahlzeiten teilen, in denen neue Analysen und hoffnungsvolle Pläne entstehen, in denen die Vorstellungskraft ihren Weg zurück zu uns findet, frei von der sozialen Kontrolle, die versucht, sie einzufangen. Hier lernen wir Strategien gegen den Staat und die Bosse kennen und entwickeln Taktiken für unsere Seite, von denen wir hoffen, dass sie ansteckend wirken und weit reichen.
Unser Haus ist widerstandsfähig. Das Kollektiv, die Gemeinschaft um es herum und die Bewegung haben die Gentrifizierer, die Bosse, die Bullen und jeden Räumungsversuch zurückgeschlagen. Für uns verkörpert das Haus einen unzerbrechlichen Willen für eine befreite Gesellschaft und Trotz gegen den Status quo, dass unsere Stadt den Reichen vorbehalten sein soll.
Wir sehen eine ganze Maschinerie am Werk: staatliche Institutionen, politische Parteien, Polizei, die Presse und neoliberale Bosse, die alle versuchen, die Rigaer94 verschwinden zu lassen. Ihr Traum, uns zu vertreiben, ist immer wieder gescheitert. Nun jedoch erleben wir erneute Aktivitäten des angeblichen Eigentümers und der Polizei, um eine Räumung voranzutreiben. Keiner ihrer Angriffe wird unbeantwortet bleiben.
Wir rufen zur Verteidigung des Hauses mit allen notwendigen Mitteln auf. Ein entscheidender Teil davon ist die soziale Selbstverteidigung. Für uns bedeutet das, Beziehungen zu Menschen in unserer Nachbarschaft und in unseren Bewegungen aufzubauen, zu Menschen, die sich mit diesem Raum verbunden fühlen, die ihn gemeinsam mit uns gestalten wollen, die für ihn und die Ideen, die in ihm entstehen, kämpfen wollen. Dieses Haus lebt nicht (nur) von den Menschen, die hier wohnen, sondern von der umliegenden Gemeinschaft und allen, die sich solidarisch mit dem Haus zeigen. Wir werden weder unsere Ideen noch irgendetwas anderes mit den machthabenden verhandeln. Wir werden nicht in der Defensive bleiben. Kein Immobilienhai soll sich sicher fühlen. Und wenn die Zeit gekommen ist, werden wir uns mit allen notwendigen Mitteln verteidigen. Unsere Taktiken sind vielfältig und voller Überraschungen. Dieses Haus gehört nicht nur denen, die darin wohnen, sondern allen Menschen, mit denen wir für die Befreiung aller kämpfen!
Deshalb glauben wir, dass internationale Solidarität entscheidend ist – um Isolation, Angst und Zersplitterung entgegenzuwirken, um in den Rissen zu wachsen und diese zu vergrößern, wie Disteln, die sich ihren Weg durch zerfallene Straßen bahnen.

In the morning of March 24th, a big-scaled police operation happened throughout Germany. Mainly in Berlin, in total 17 appartments and projects got searched by the cops, including the anarchist library Kalabalik in Kreuzberg, L5 Späti in Neukölln and Scherer8 in Wedding.

We see this operation of the state as a desperate attempt of showing off, considering the fact that even in media reports, they say that the investigators don’t expect to gain a lot from the searches. Instead, the raid is the result of a social climate shaped, among other things, by media smear campaigns against so-called left-wing extremism.

We know very well, that the attacked comrades and spaces – amongst others a library and an unemployed initiative – are not, like cops and politicians say now, “terrorists” or a “cancerous tumor” in the society, but providing social structures and aiming for a liberated world.

By targeting not ‘only’ some accused people but also many comrades, social spaces, a whole social structure, it becomes even more obvious that repression is never an attack on some individuals, but always on us as a whole movement.

Am Morgen des 24. März fand in ganz Deutschland eine groß angelegte Polizeiaktion statt. Vor allem in Berlin wurden insgesamt 17 Wohnungen und Projekte von der Polizei durchsucht, darunter die anarchistische Bibliothek Kalabalik in Kreuzberg, L5 Späti in Neukölln und Scherer8 in Wedding.

Wir sehen diese staatliche Aktion als verzweifelten Versuch, sich zu profilieren, zumal selbst in Medienberichten zu lesen ist, dass die Ermittler nicht erwarten, bei den Durchsuchungen viel zu finden. Vielmehr ist die Razzia das Ergebnis eines gesellschaftlichen Klimas, das unter anderem durch Medienkampagnen gegen den sogenannten Linksextremismus geprägt ist.

Wir wissen sehr gut, dass die angegriffenen Genoss*innen und Räume – unter anderem eine Bibliothek und eine Arbeitsloseninitiative – nicht, wie Polizei und Politiker*innen jetzt behaupten, „Terrorist*innen“ oder ein „Krebsgeschwür“ der Gesellschaft sind, sondern soziale Strukturen bereitstellen und eine befreite Welt anstreben.

Indem nicht „nur“ einige Beschuldigte, sondern auch viele Genoss*innen, soziale Räume und eine ganze soziale Struktur ins Visier genommen werden, wird noch deutlicher, dass Repression niemals ein Angriff auf einzelne Personen ist, sondern immer auf uns als gesamte Bewegung.

Wir solidarisieren uns mit den Beschuldigten und allen, die von den Razzien betroffen sind.

Staat und Kapital sind die einzigen Terroristen.

On 19th of March 2026, anarchist comrades Sara Ardizzone and Alessandro Mercogliano were found dead following the collapse of a farmhouse in Rome. The media is reporting about the alleged explosion of an explosive device. While the exact circumstances remain unclear, one thing is clear to us: Sara and Sandro died in action, they died fighting (https://circoloculturaleanarchicofiaschi.noblogs.org/2026/03/21/piu-forti-della-morte/).

We receive this news shortly before the start of the Ampelokipi trial against our anarchist comrades Marianna Manoura and Dimitra Zarafeta, as well as the three other accused. Marianna was seriously injured in the explosion of an explosive device on 31st of October 2024 in Athens and has been inmprisoned at the Korydallos women’s prison ever since.

That same explosion killed our comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris.

We remember with sorrow those first days after his death: the emptiness, the grief, the anger. The attempt to grasp the incomprehensible, to understand the finality of one single act. Only together we could face the reality in which we live.

We cried together and screamed together. We sat together in silence. We discussed, made plans, and took action together. We decided to understand the defense of the revolutionary memory as our responsibility and as the logical consequence of our shared struggle.

To the friends, comrades, and families of Sara and Sandro: We feel your grief, we share your anger, and we stand with you in the defence of the memory of our fallen comrades. We wish you all the strength, love, and tenderness we need to keep the flame of our common struggle alive. We wish you moments of rest, to grieve and cry together. We fight alongside you for moments of insurrection, in which we let our anger become the fire that keeps the memory of our comrades alive.

Am 19. März 2026 wurden die anarchistischen Gefährt*innen Sara Ardizzone und Alessandro Mercogliano nach dem Einsturz eines Bauernhauses in Rom tot aufgefunden. Die Medien berichten über die angebliche Explosion eines Sprengsatzes. Uns erreicht diese Nachricht kurz vor Prozessbeginn des Ampelokipi-Verfahrens gegen unsere anarchistischen Gefährtinnen Marianna Manoura und Dimitra Zarafeta sowie drei weitere Angeklagte. Marianna wurde bei der Explosion eines Sprengsatzes am 31. Oktober 2024 in Athen schwer verletzt und ist seitdem im Frauengefängnis Korydallos inhaftiert.

Dieselbe Explosion tötete unseren Gefährten Kyriakos Xymitiris.

Wie erinnern uns schmerzlich an die ersten Tage nach seinem Tod: die Leere, die Trauer, die Wut. Der Versuch das Unfassbare zu greifen, die Endgültigkeit einer einzigen Handlung zu verstehen. Der Realität, in der wir leben, konnten wir uns nur gemeinsam stellen.

Wir weinten gemeinsam und schrien gemeinsam. Wir saßen zusammen und schwiegen. Wir diskutieren, schmiedeten Pläne und machten Aktionen gemeinsam. Wir entschieden uns, die Verteidigung des revolutionären Gedenkens als unsere Verantwortung und als die logische Konsequenz unseres gemeinsamen Kampfes zu verstehen.

An die Freund*innen, Gefährt*innen und Familien von Sara und Sandro: Wir fühlen eure Trauer, wir teilen eure Wut und wir stehen an eurer Seite, um die Erinnerung an unsere gefallenen Gefährt*innen zu verteidigen. Wir wünschen euch all die Kraft, Liebe und Zärtlichkeit, die wir brauchen, um die Flamme unseres gemeinsamen Kampfes am Leben zu erhalten.
